About Me
Guiding You On the Path of Self-Healing
Life can be difficult. As someone who has experienced depression and anxiety, I understand how challenging it can feel to just get through the day. We live in such a fast-paced world today. Sometimes it's hard to remember to slow down, tune in and honor our present states. We tend to look outward; consulting friends, reading books or searching the internet for answers rather than listening within ourselves, where the truth naturally lies.
Our mind's natural default state is wandering, but if we allow ourselves to wander too far back, questioning the past, we can become depressed. If we are constantly living in the future, worrying about things that have not and very well may not ever occur, we become anxious. Being able to be present in the moment has been proven to increase cognitive performance, positive emotions and social connectedness.
My greatest tools have been yoga and meditation. I became a registered Hatha Yoga Teacher in 2010 after realizing the therapeutic effects it had on me. I have been incorporating the healing elements of mindfulness, meditation, breathwork and asana into my work ever since.
